My Love of the Week!

Chiffon Bandeau Dress from Topshop

Recently, I was having a quick look (and drool!) on the Topshop website as I usually do, when I came across this extraordinary dress. Maybe it's just me but I instantly fell in love with the deep rose tone of the dress and the way the fabric is folded at the bust to create such an elegant sweetheart neckline.

I have always been a sucker for chiffon so because the dress is made of just that it made me like it even more. I love how the fabric gives the dress more formal vibe which is exactly what I personally want from a dress like this one.

Now for the most important part, where would I where this beautiful dress? Personally this would be too formal for my liking if I was just going on a night out with some friends but I would definitely wear this if it was a friend's birthday or if I was going to an event such as a wedding.

The dress costs £55, which works out as roughly €68, which I think is a fair price considering the formality and quality of the dress. I'm heading into town over the next couple of days to do some shopping so I will have to try and steer clear of Topshop to avoid indulging in this beauty!

Edgy Fall/Winter Outfit • 2012

When I first spotted the military trend on the runway I instantaneously fell in love. I adored the idea of an oversized masculine jacket being worn over a feminine underlay. It gave an edginess to outfits that an oversized blazer/cardigan just couldn't provide.

So when creating this 'Outfit Board' I decided to take the theme of contrast a little bit further. I paired red lips (Rimmel Kate Range - 001) and red nails (Barry M - Bright Red) with the green outfit to add not only a pop of colour (I hate using that phrase!) but an extra feminine touch to what could otherwise have become a very masculine outfit.

By paring a chunky necklace it glams up the outfit a tad without taking away from it's boldness. And then I found this 'bullet' ring on the Topshop website which I thought would look amazing with this outfit. And as for shoes, I'm not gonna lie I was a little stuck. I knew dollyshoes wouldn't compliment the outfit so I thought that Creepers would work brilliantly but if the Creepers trend isn't your thing you could always go for a pair of combat boots which would work just as well.

I really cannot wait until it starts to get a little chilly outside so I can start to incorporate these trends into my wardrobe. Only could a fashion trend make me look forward to cold weather!
